Tony Pájaro

Tony Pájaro

Tony D. Pájaro is a Filipino painter known for blending his homeland’s rich cultural heritage with European influences. Born in Manila in 1948, he studied Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines and later continued his education in Spain. His work often reflects deep cultural roots, particularly through his research on indigenous Philippine tribes. Over the decades, Pájaro has exhibited his art internationally, from Manila and Tokyo to New York and San Sebastián.

Outside the gallery, Pájaro draws inspiration from nature—especially from Lake Sebu in South Cotabato, where he and his brother own a resort called El Jardin del los Pajaros. He frequently paints in this peaceful lakeside setting, and several of these works have been featured in art books in Spain. His art, both grounded in tradition and globally appreciated, continues to resonate across cultures
